NO LOVE LOST lives in the space between heartbreak and hope. It considers what remains after love has altered us. Not innocence. Not forgetting. Something more deliberate. The choice to stay open even after experience has given us every reason to retreat.
The surface holds that tension through dense hand-built texture layered in metallic paint, bone-toned paint and black. Preserved roses rise from the work as fragments of something once delicate, still carrying form after time has touched them. The metallic surface catches light differently as the piece is viewed, giving the work a sense of movement without ever becoming polished or perfect. Nothing here is untouched. That is where the beauty begins.
At its core, NO LOVE LOST is about emotional endurance. About refusing to let heartbreak become a permanent architecture around the heart. The past is allowed to exist, but it is not allowed to define the limits of what can still be felt. What has been broken is not erased. It is carried forward differently.
