the things that stay with us rarely announce their arrival
The memories that continue to shape us are almost never the ones we planned for. They begin quietly. A conversation that lasted longer than expected. A walk through a neighborhood we almost didn’t visit. A song playing somewhere in the background while nothing remarkable seemed to be happening at all.
It is only years later that we realize those ordinary moments never really left. They settled somewhere beneath the surface and slowly became part of the way we understand the world. Looking back, it becomes impossible to separate who we are from the places, people and experiences that found us before we knew we needed them.
Maybe the most important moments in life never arrive asking to be remembered. Maybe they simply trust that, if they matter enough, they will remain.
